Tradition and innovation, regional solidarity and global success. These terms determine the entrepreneurial actions of Jan Coblenz and Stefan Vogelskamp, the two managing directors of Brangs + Heinrich. Our portraits tell of important stages of their professional careers, their specialties - and give some very personal insights.

Jan Coblenz, Managing Director

A life without Brangs + Heinrich? For Jan Coblenz, a business graduate (born in 1969), this is unimaginable: His father Bernhard was already an apprentice at the family business in 1948, founded the Hamburg branch and later became Managing Director in Solingen. Jan Coblenz has always had a preference for commercial matters. He studied economics in Wuppertal and applied to Brangs + Heinrich. As Managing Director, he is now responsible for planning, organisation and e-commerce.

His specialty is digital transformation and the associated realignment of all organizational processes in the company. He contributes his know-how as chairman of the Digitalization Working Group of the German Association of Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (Bundesverband Großhandel Außenhandel und Dienstleistung e.V.) in Berlin. Energetically he provided Brangs + Heinrich on their own feet with geothermal energy and a solar system on the roof of the 2014 newly built warehouse and production halls.

Jan Coblenz is well networked in the Bergisches Land economic region. He is an honorary member of the Wirtschaftsjunioren Solingen, is assigned to the Landgericht Wuppertal as a commercial judge, sits on the advisory board of the Bergische Unternehmerverbände and is chairman of the Arbeitgeber- und Wirtschaftsverband Großhandel-Außenhandel-Dienstleistung Bergisch Land e.V. (Employers' and Trade Association for Wholesale and Foreign Trade Services).

He gets the necessary tailwind from his family as well as from sailing and appearances with his band on the keyboard.

Stefan Vogelskamp, Managing director

Stefan Vogelskamp (born 1967) has been there from the ground up. He completed his training with his predecessor Bernhard Coblenz. The commercial specialist has held several functions and areas of responsibility in sales and purchasing, climbed the career ladder and is now responsible for operations and product management as Managing Director.

His specialty is improving sustainability and integrating many customer processes. As a pioneer in Germany, he has taken over the exclusive distribution of machines that laser tailor-made cartons for the customer's packaging requirements from corrugated cardboard sheets.

He sees the trend of the packaging industry in the reduction of packaging volumes. Industrially produced Boxes on Demand and the development of sustainable packaging solutions are his favourite topics because these processes conserve resources and improve the CO2 balance.

Stefan Vogelskamp is a volunteer at the IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. as chairman of the ProStretch initiative, at the Wirtschaftsjunioren Solingen, the BVL Bundesvereinigung Logistik and at the Marketing-Club Bergisch Land e.V.

Stefan Vogelskamp is a sportsman when it comes to football, golf and motor sports.
